Biography

Attorney Brian C. Jordan is a Monroe County Native and a graduate of East Stroudsburg Area School District. He was a member of the Pre-Law Society while at Pennsylvania State University at University Park, where he ultimately graduated from the Schreyer Honors College and the College of Communications with High Distinction. He continued his education in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, at Widener University School of Law, where he served as Vice President of the Trial Advocacy Honor Society, Coordinator of the Student Mentor Program, and recipient of the Dean’s Award upon graduation in 2007. During his law school studies, Brian worked at the law office of Cohen & Cohen and also interned at the Monroe County District Attorney’s Office, the Technology Council of Central Pennsylvania, the Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General, and the Dauphin County Office of the Public Defender.

After graduation, he began his law career as an attorney in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, with the Dauphin County Office of the Public Defender, where he handled all levels of cases from traffic offenses through homicide charges, from the inception of the case through jury trial and the appeals process. Brian co-facilitated the Dauphin County Mental Health Court Program and maintained a full caseload, focusing on the best outcomes for each and every one of his clients.

In 2012, Brian and his family returned to the local area and he entered private practice with Cramer, Swetz & McManus, P.C., focusing on private criminal defense and civil litigation. In 2014, Brian became a shareholder of the firm and the firm was re-named Cramer, Swetz, McManus & Jordan, P.C.

Brian continues to focus on all aspects of criminal defense in both state and federal court, at all stages ranging from the initial investigation of any matter through trial and the appeals process. Brian also handles all aspects of DUI defense as well as any traffic and motor vehicle issues. Brian handles civil litigation matters in both state and federal court, including, but not limited to, personal injury, employment and contract disputes, landlord-tenant issues, and family law matters.

As a trial attorney committed to each of his clients, Brian has obtained acquittals in criminal jury and judge trials, as well as dismissals of all charges prior to trial through litigation and negotiation. He has obtained significant plea bargains and sentences that have avoided incarceration and lengthy probation despite the requests of police, prosecutors, or probation officers. He has been successful in intervening before criminal charges are filed, persuading police to re-examine their case and not proceed with any further action. In civil matters, Brian has helped clients navigate the court system to obtain the best possible resolution to a legal situation.
